About the Civil War in Sudan:
The civil war in Sudan started in 1958 between the Muslims and the Christians. The war has displaced more than 4 million people and has forced them to travel into another country. The war has left millions of kids without families. The people who left couldn't earn money to buy food and therefore malnutrition had become wide spread. Because of the war the south's economy crashed which caused all of these people to lose their homes and be kicked out of their country. Over 2 million people have been killed because of this war. This war has affected the lives of many people who live in Sudan and the countries around it. Approximately 600,000 people became refugees.

Lost Boys of Sudan

1) The lost boys ran away from their home because there was a civil war and the government that  was fighting them ordered the soldiers to kill all of the Sudan boys.
2) They couldn't stay in Ethiopia because the government crashed and the government couldn't afford them to stay in their country.
3) Life in the refugee camp was hard because their was little food and water and sometimes they went  weeks without food or water.

They traveled about 1000 miles to their refugee camp.
