Building Modern India

The people that build India are the lower class people that do hard labor.
All of the builders that work for less than $2.00 specifically are the ones that fuel the economy.
Banks also fuel India's economy
Just one of the bank businesses is a $23.5 billion business
Corruption also fuels India's economy
The corruption that takes place involves government officials and it also involves builders

High Population in India and what It does to the Country

The large population in India contributes to a lot of things. One of the things it contributes to is India's poverty. Right now the population in India is 1,173,108,083. That number of people is huge for just one country which is what makes poverty in India so big. And because of the poverty, a lot of these people have to live in slums. In India the fertility rate is 3 kids born per women. It is hard for all these people to get a job that pays well which is what makes it more likely you will be born into a slum.
Twenty five percent of people in India make less than a dollar a day. You could only imagine how hard it would be to just live off a dollar a day.  Twenty five percent of the people that live in India live below the poverty line. Another thing about India is that 57% of the country is in dept. These problems are a factor of how people would live. These affect where the people would live, like in slums or in more well off areas. People make so little a day a in Dharavi and yet they are still able to afford a television and rent a house.
Slums in India (or just in general) are terrible places to have to live in. Slums mainly consist of buildings made out of sheet metal and whatever people can use to make the walls for the building. The slum of Daravi in India is one of the largest in the world. It consists of over one million people. Dharavi also provides the cheapest rents in Mumbai for $4 in United States currency. To add to some of the problems in Dharavi, there are quite a few sanitation problems in Dharavi. One of them is quite a major one. It is that the ratio of toilets in Dharavi is 1 to 1440 persons. You can only amagine where people would normally go to the bathroom. They would go in their drinking supplies and maybe even in a back ally. Even though conditions in slums can be this bad, surprisingly most of the residences in Dharavi have colour televisions. Statistics also show that half of the people in Dharavi have gas stoves Seventy percent of buildings in Dharavi have been converted to resturants and other buisinesses. The main buisinesses in Dharavi are pottery and textile buisinesses. Dharavi is also starting to have an increasing recycling business.

India Problems

India faces many problems including child exploitation, human trafficking, and forced labor. People are tracked in India so they can be used to do the back breaking jobs that nobody wants to do. Girls are tracked for the purpose of commerce sexual exploitation. Sometimes people are even trafficked for marriage. Children that are tacked are forced to work in factories, beg, and agricultural work.  Children are also sometimes used as suicides in terrorist groups. Child exploitation and forced labor are factors of human trafficking. Men women and children are held in dept bondage because of the human trafficking problem in India. Children that are trafficked in India are also forced to make clothes and some that make the clothes are younger than 10. Because of forced labor, the people that do the jobs don't get paid much or if anything at all for doing them, which causes the families to not get a lot of necessities to survive. Child exploitation is a big issue in India. One of the reason that it is so big, is because of human trafficking. Many people are just trafficked for sexual exploitation. The Indian government has made an effort to prosecute the traffickers and protect the victims that are being tracked. The government in India is putting very little effort in to stopping human trafficking and child exploitation, so sadly, it is still a big thing to traffic people in India to exploit them.
